What is a trash bin cleaning service?

Our truck is highly customized and state-of-the-art. With 190-degree water, the self-contained truck lifts bins in to wash, sanitize, and deodorize. Once cleaned, the bins look and smell brand new as can be seen in the sparkling picture below!
Trash bin cleaning eliminates:
Odors
Dirt
Bacteria
Why can’t I just clean the bins myself?
Trash, compost, and recycle bins are contaminated with germs and bacteria that are harmful to people and pets. By sanitizing trash bins, almost all of it is killed, protecting your home and family.
Just using a hose and broom to clean your bins is not enough to kill the bacteria and diseases that breed in your bins. These could include: Tuberculosis, E-Coli, Salmonella, Listeria, etc.
How often do I get my bins cleaned?
For the most effective results, we strongly recommend sanitizing your bins on a regular basis, either monthly or quarterly. We do our best to clean your bins one time, but it may take a few cleanings to effectively remove grime, buildup, and other substances.
How does the service work?
Our trash bin cleaning truck comes to your house the day after trash collection day. We will service your bins on site either once a month, quarterly, or one time depending on the frequency you sign up for.
Leave your bins curbside between the hours of 7am-6pm on your designated cleaning day, which you scheduled service for
Our truck will clean, sanitize, and deodorize your bins curbside
We will tag the bins with our signature custom stickers on the front of the bin when we have completed the job
If it is not possible to leave your bins at the curb, they should be visible from the street and readily accessible.

How much does it cost and how do I sign up?
The price list can be found here. However, we offer flexible trash bin cleaning prices for HOAs and other large group discounts.
You can sign up either online or by calling 310-573-WASH (9274). You are also welcomed to stop into the carwash and sign up in person.
Is the service reliable?
As local residents, we have been living in the Palisades since 2013 with our four boys. We are committed to quality, professionalism, and reliability. Staff training and route scheduling are top priority which makes Palisades Pitstop a reliable service you can count on.
What are your customers saying?
One of the biggest complaints we hear from customers is that they are tired of finding other people’s dog poop bags in their bins. The smells can be horrible, and they don’t want to handle bags themselves, nor do they want to leave them in there until next pickup. A recent customer states:
“Every Tuesday, when I bring the trash bins back in from the street to the yard, I say a silent thank you to my husband for hiring Palisades Pitstop to clean our black and blue trash bins. No flies, no maggots, no spiders, no smells – and I didn’t have to take a hose and stick my head in the bin to clean it.”
Customer satisfaction is our top priority. Not only are they our customers, but they’re also our neighbors and we aim to deliver quality service every time.
